Horizons operates with a board of trustees. The trustees convene every month and are made up of benefactors, volunteers and staff who discuss many matters regarding the charity. The trustees guide the direction of Horizons covering all kinds of issues and projects.
The Business structure of Horizons
Chairman of trustees Mr Rod O’Connor
As Chairman of the Board I am, together with my fellow Trustees, responsible for the conduct of the charity and in particular that this is in accordance with our Articles of Association. The “Articles” is the legal document that covers all aspects of our activities but they do emphasise that all moneys received by Horizons, whatever the source, are used solely for the achievement of its stated objectives. Beyond this legal responsibility it is, of course, an honour to be able to support Horizons and to do everything possible to further its growth. I firmly believe that we fulfil a need in society and that the young people who join us benefit greatly from the experience.
